Some of you may be wondering why there have been no updates on the team.....I have been able to receive text messages from Billy, and he did let me know that they are having a hard time getting internet access to send emails, etc. So just continue to keep them in your prayers.

Although it may be tough not getting to hear from them daily, remember that God is in control!

Got a text message from Billy about 1:40 our time; they had made it, but some of their luggage did not. So pray it will catch up with them soon!! The plane didn't make it in until around 10:30 p.m., (their time) so I know they are probably really tired and ready for some sleep! I will try to update more as I hear from him.

Flight Update:
Their flight from St Louis was delayed from 12:50 until around 4:30; so by the time they got into Newark, their International flight was scheduled to be gone already. But "luckily" that flight was delayed as well, and considering the amount of people from the previous flight scheduled for that flight, they agreed to wait. So he just called to let me know they will still be on their way tonight! God is blessing them already!
9:20 p.m.

Just a reminder that Billy and the remaining 4 team members will be leaving tomorrow for South Asia. They will be in for a very long flight and hopefully no delays. Please keep them in your prayers as well as the rest of the group that is already there. Also pray for their health; some of the members already there have been battling respiratory illnesses since they arrived a couple of weeks ago.

The entire group will be returning on July 12. I know the team thanks you in advance for your continued prayers.

Just wanted to post a quick update; we had a great Father's Day. Our son-in-law's father was in town, so we had all of them over for a cookout along with my mom and sister. (Billy did most of the cooking, which is ironic that he had to cook on Father's Day!) We had some wonderful steak, pork chops, brauts and hot dogs. Throw in some baked beans, mac n' cheese (homemade at that!), deviled eggs and pistachio salad and you've got a great meal!! We also had homemade cherry pie (Billy's favorite!), banana-vanilla wafer pudding, and coconut cream pie for dessert!! I think we were all pretty much stuffed after eating all that!! Here are some pictures:
Here is Danny's dad opening his gift of Oreo cookies & a movie:

Here is Danny opening his gift. He received a shirt, Spiderman bubble pen, and a puzzle book:

Here is Billy; sorry the picture is blurry. It was my sister's fault!!!

Billy also got a shirt and Sydney wanted to wear it.

Here is Sydney playing "peek-a-boo" while waiting to put on her playclothes:

Have a blessed week!!!

We celebrated our granddaughter's 2nd birthday Friday evening; this year she was more into opening her presents herself:

Then it was cake time:

She did really good blowing out her candle!!
And she really enjoyed eating it:

This is her Great-Great-Great Aunt Doris; I
bet not too many kids have a "Triple-Great-Aunt"!!

Everybody had a good time, and Sydney was a tired little girl by the time she got home. Hope everybody had a great weekend as well!!

The team Billy took to Central Asia got back safe and sound early Saturday morning. I believe they all had a great experience and know that what they've learned will carry over into the work they will continue to do here locally.

Now Billy looks toward his next 'adventure'; taking a team to South Asia. This will be a new country for Billy, but some of the ones going on this team have been there before which I think will help ease any uncertainties for the rest who haven't. They will depart on June 27 and return July 12. Please begin now to be in prayer for this team and what they will accomplish in this part of the world.

This week comes the end of school for our son Christopher; he was able to get a job with a local movie theater that will begin the middle of the month. (I'll have to think of lots of jobs he can do at home in the mean time!)

This Friday our granddaughter will turn 2!! Hard to believe it's already been 2 years. Here is a picture I took on Memorial Day:

She is really getting tall! Once we celebrate hers, we look forward to our son-in-law's birthday on the 15th, and then Father's Day. Our music minister is also putting together a video of the church Dads like he did on Mother's Day, and we have given him lots of 'good' photos of Billy. He is also in the process of moving some of his family here from Texas this week.

Thanks to all who prayed for the team while they were away; I know they will each tell you that they knew when individuals were praying for them.
